Introduction
This helicopter tour is perfect for those looking to experience the beauty of the Everest region in a single day without a night stop. Within a matter of a few hours, you will experience a birds-eye view of the world’s tallest mountain Everest along with other high Himalaya peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, and Ama Dablam.
The close flyover over Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Glacier will leave you captivated by its beauty and ten minutes of ground time at Kala Patthar top will be enough for you to get some panoramic shots with mountains like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Pumori.
Itinerary
- It will take approximately 45 minutes to reach Lukla (2,860 m)
- Before reaching Lukla, you will be welcomed by the beautiful mountains, rhododendron trees, and rivers.
- After landing at Lukla, the helicopter will remove some fuel to reduce weight.
- This will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
- You can use this time to capture some moments to upload on your Instagram/Facebook stories.
- Fly from Lukla over Dudhoshi past Namche village to see Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Glacier up close.
- After a close flyover on Everest Base Camp, you’ll fly towards Kala Patthar.
- Ten minutes of ground time at Kala Patthar.
- You can enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori during this short time.
- After a short touchdown at Kala Patthar, you will fly towards Syangboche.
- This flight will provide you with an amazing view of the Khumbu Valley and the beautiful mountains.
- You will get 30 minutes of ground time for breakfast at Hotel Everest View, one of the highest hotels in the world.
- This time will be enough for you to enjoy your breakfast with a mesmerizing view of the mountains like Everest in the background.
- After your breakfast at Hotel Everest View, you will fly over Namche and Phakding towards Lukla.
- You will also be enjoying the birds-eye view of the mountains like Thamserku, Khumbila, and Kongde.
- At Lukla, it will take ten to fifteen minutes to refuel the helicopter.
- After refueling, you will fly back to Kathmandu (45 minutes)
